Applications Window Open for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships 2026

Northeastern University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has officially opened applications for the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program 2026, one of the most prestigious post-doctoral training programs for PharmD and Ph.D. graduates aiming to enter the biopharmaceutical industry.

About the Fellowship Program

The Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential initiative designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in the global pharmaceutical industry.

Through this program, fellows gain direct exposure to real-world challenges while collaborating with Northeastern’s faculty and innovative biopharmaceutical partners. The experience blends academic mentorship, research, professional development, teaching, and industry engagement — all in the heart of Boston’s thriving biotechnology hub.

The program’s mission is simple yet ambitious:

To produce top-tier biopharmaceutical professionals through industry-academic collaboration and experiential learning.

Fellowship Focus Areas

Fellows will receive hands-on experience across multiple high-impact areas of the industry, such as:

  • Clinical Science
  • Global / US Medical Affairs
  • Regulatory Affairs (Global and US)
  • Patient Safety and Risk Management
  • Scientific Communications
  • Medical Information
  • Market Access and Marketing

These experiences help fellows transition into functional industry professionals — ready to lead projects, publish research, and contribute to groundbreaking drug development initiatives.

Academic and Professional Growth

Beyond industry exposure, the program empowers fellows to strengthen their academic and networking foundations through:

Learn: Pursue graduate degrees or certificates in Regulatory Affairs, Business, or Public Health through Northeastern’s tuition reimbursement options.

Research: Collaborate with faculty and students on impactful projects. Present findings at global conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Teach: Gain teaching experience by instructing pharmacy students and earn a Teaching Certificate of Achievement.

Network: Boston — a global hub for biotechnology and pharmaceuticals — provides unparalleled opportunities for professional growth and collaboration.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy or a Ph.D. by June 30, 2026.
  • Be motivated to build a career in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership, and a passion for innovation.

Candidates are selected through a nationally competitive process, ensuring only the most dedicated and capable professionals are chosen.

Application Dates to Remember

The priority deadline to apply for the Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program 2026 is October 31, 2025. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their materials by this date to maximize their chances of securing a fellowship placement.

However, applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis thereafter, depending on the availability of positions.
