Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) has opened applications for its Global Talent Scholarship for the January 2026 intake, offering international students the chance to receive £5,000 towards tuition fees for select postgraduate taught programs. Designed to attract academically exceptional and globally minded students, the scholarship supports those beginning their master’s studies at one of the UK’s most prestigious research universities.
A Reward for Academic Excellence
The Global Talent Scholarship is open to all international students who hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate program starting in January 2026. To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold an overseas fee status.
- Have achieved (or be on track to achieve) a minimum 2:1 UK Honours degree or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- Hold an offer for one of the eligible master’s programs at Queen Mary.
Once applicants receive their offer, they will be invited to complete a scholarship application form via a direct link emailed by the university. Importantly, scholarships are allocated on a rolling basis, so candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early. The application window will close once all available awards have been granted.
Financial Support and Eligible Courses
Each scholarship recipient will receive a £5,000 tuition fee reduction, automatically deducted upon enrolment. This financial support helps outstanding international students ease their transition into postgraduate life in the UK, especially in London’s competitive academic environment.
Eligible programs for the January 2026 cohort include a mix of business, management, law, and finance-focused degrees such as:
- MA Medical Education
- MSc Banking and Finance / Banking and Finance (Conversion)
- MSc Management
- MSc Marketing
- LLM Commercial and Corporate Law
- LLM International Business Law
- LLM Intellectual Property Law
- LLM Comparative and International Dispute Resolution
- LLM Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law
- LLM Paris
- Commercial Law Dual LLM (London & Singapore)
- Sorbonne – Queen Mary Double LLM.
Terms, Conditions, and Key Considerations
This award is non-deferrable and applies strictly to students enrolling in the January 2026 intake. Applicants must be self-funded and not in receipt of any other full-fee university scholarship or external funding. Pre-master’s programs, whether standalone or integrated, are excluded from this scheme.
Scholarships will only be confirmed once the student’s admission status becomes Unconditional Firm (UF) and they formally enroll. Queen Mary retains the right to withdraw the award if the recipient’s fee status changes or if they no longer meet eligibility requirements.
Due to the high volume of applicants, feedback will not be provided for unsuccessful candidates.
Why Apply?
With its strong international community and emphasis on academic excellence, Queen Mary University of London continues to empower students through opportunities like the Global Talent Scholarship. This initiative not only recognizes intellectual achievement but also encourages global diversity across its postgraduate programs.
Students seeking to study at one of the UK’s top research institutions in 2026 are advised to secure their admission and apply early, as scholarship awards are limited and highly competitive.
