Hitachi Young Leaders Initiative (HYLI) 2026 Fellowship Announced

The Hitachi Young Leaders Initiative (HYLI) 2026 is officially accepting applications, calling on the most promising student leaders across Asia to step into the future as catalysts for change. If you’re a university student from one of the 8 participating countries — Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam — this is your chance to make a regional and global impact.

Held from May 24–29, 2026 in Cebu, Philippines, HYLI 2026 marks its 18th edition with the powerful theme:
“FLOW AS ONE: What’s next for a sustainable future?”
This theme invites collaboration and innovation on key global issues aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 6, 8, 9, and 14, focusing on clean water, decent work, innovation, and marine sustainability.

What HYLI 2026 Offers You?

Selected delegates — only 4 from each participating country — will:

  • Join immersive field visits that showcase real-world challenges and solutions.
  • Engage in expert-led forums and interactive workshops on sustainability, innovation, and leadership.
  • Participate in cultural exchanges with peers from across Asia.
  • Present team proposals to a distinguished panel of government, academic, and industry leaders.
  • Build lifelong connections in an elite regional leadership network.

And the best part?
It’s completely funded — travel, accommodation, meals, and participation expenses are fully sponsored by Hitachi.
