The global student community is on high alert today as Teesside University, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, has officially announced its British Council GREAT Scholarship 2026, offering two prestigious £10,000 awards exclusively for students. With competition intensifying worldwide for funded postgraduate opportunities, this call marks a major opening for applicants seeking world-class education in the UK without heavy financial pressure.
The 2026 GREAT Scholarships programme supports outstanding students pursuing one-year postgraduate degrees across the UK, with Teesside’s participation offering a notable entry point into a modern, industry-linked university located in the heart of Middlesbrough and Darlington. The programme, backed by over 60 top UK universities, enables students from multiple countries to access the UK’s globally respected higher-education system through strong financial assistance.
For September 2026 entry, Teesside University is awarding two (02) GREAT Scholarships, each worth £10,000, dedicated solely to one applicant from Vietnam and one from Spain. Eligible candidates must be international fee-payers, self-funded, hold a conditional or unconditional offer by 24 April 2026, and commit to studying on campus in the UK.
Teesside University will notify successful candidates by 30 May 2025, and recipients must be ready to participate in university outreach and promotional activities. The scholarships cannot be combined with other Teesside funding, and deferrals are not permitted.
With its focus on academic excellence, financial support, and global cultural exchange, the GREAT Scholarship continues to stand out as one of the most influential UK-funded postgraduate opportunities. Students from Vietnam and Spain aiming for a transformative academic journey in the UK should ensure their Teesside applications are submitted well before the April deadline to stay competitive.
