Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Checks
To be eligible for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2026, applicants must be classified as Overseas fee-paying students, hold an offer for a full-time Master’s program beginning in September 2026, and be fully self-financing. Candidates must also demonstrate exceptional academic performance, with country-specific benchmarks indicating the competitive nature of this award.
For instance, applicants from Pakistan should hold a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 80% or a Master’s degree with 70%, while students from India typically need a minimum of 70%, depending on their university. Those from Bangladesh require a GPA of 3.5 or above, and applicants from China must meet higher thresholds: Category 1 HEIs require a GPA of 3.3/4, 85%, or B+, whereas other institutions expect 3.7/4, 90%, or A-. Students from the United States should present a GPA of 3.5, and applicants from Malaysia need a CGPA of 3.67/4 or 75% or higher.

Brazil, Mexico, and several other countries typically expect 8.5/10 or 85%. Japan requires a GPA of 3.5, and Turkey a minimum GPA of 3.3. These benchmarks serve as guidance; however, due to the highly competitive nature of this scholarship, successful applicants often exceed the minimum thresholds.
