A major scholarship window has opened for international students planning to study in Japan for the 2026–2027 academic year. The Taisei Corporation Foreign Student Scholarship, administered by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), is a prestigious and highly targeted funding opportunity that supports future leaders in architecture and civil engineering.
This blog post breaks down everything applicants need to know—from benefits to eligibility requirements—to help engineering students submit a strong and complete application.
What Is the Taisei Corporation Scholarship?
This scholarship is designed to nurture globally minded construction engineers who will contribute to future technical collaboration between Japan and their home countries. Backed by Taisei Corporation—one of Japan’s leading construction and engineering companies—the program focuses exclusively on students in the architecture and civil engineering fields.
Unlike general scholarships, this award specifically supports privately financed international students already enrolled or planning to enroll in Japanese universities. The intention is to empower young engineers who can help advance innovation and sustainable development across Asia.
