University of South Australia Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship 2026 Open

The University of South Australia has officially opened applications for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship 2026, a high-value merit-based tuition award designed to attract outstanding international students for the 2026–2027 academic cohort. This Australian scholarship is aimed at high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate coursework applicants who are planning to begin full-time studies in Australia and want significant financial relief throughout their degree.

The Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship is a prestigious tuition reduction scholarship offered by the University of South Australia (UniSA). It is created for academically exceptional international students who demonstrate consistently strong academic performance and meet UniSA’s competitive entry standards. Successful recipients will benefit from a substantial reduction in tuition fees for the full duration of their degree, making Australia’s education system more accessible for top global talent.

This scholarship applies to eligible coursework programs commencing from 2026 and remains valid across the 2026–2027 intake cycle, provided students continue to meet academic progression requirements.

Scholarship Benefits Explained

Recipients of the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship receive a 50% reduction in tuition fees, applied directly to their student contribution invoice. This benefit is available for the entire duration of the degree, up to a maximum of four years of full-time study for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs.

The tuition discount is applied automatically at the start of each study period, allowing students to plan their finances with confidence. As long as recipients maintain the required academic performance, the scholarship continues uninterrupted across successive academic years.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants are generally eligible if they are prospective international students who are eligible to study in Australia and are applying for an approved undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UniSA. Candidates must meet standard academic admission requirements and have achieved the UniSA equivalent of a high distinction average in their previous studies.

Applicants must also meet the minimum English language requirements for their chosen degree and must not have accepted any other UniSA scholarship or bursary. This scholarship is strictly for new students and is not available to current UniSA students, Australian citizens, permanent residents, sponsored students, or Higher Degree by Research applicants.

Eligible Fields of Study

The scholarship is available across a wide range of UniSA faculties, including programs within Business, STEM, Education Futures, Creative disciplines, Justice and Society, Allied Health and Human Performance, and Clinical and Health Sciences. Applicants must ensure their chosen degree is listed as eligible before applying.
