Snowdon Master’s Scholarship 2026 Opens in UK to Support Future Leaders

Applications for the Snowdon Master’s Scholarship 2026 in the United Kingdom are now open, offering one of the most impactful postgraduate funding opportunities for disabled students who aspire to leadership, inclusion, and systemic change. Designed to empower exceptional individuals, this prestigious British scholarship supports master’s study while actively investing in scholars’ long-term leadership journeys across public life, policy, business, and community development.

Unlike conventional postgraduate funding, the Snowdon Master’s Scholarship places lived experience at the center of leadership. It recognizes disabled students not only as scholars, but as future changemakers determined to challenge inequality, reshape narratives around disability, and create meaningful social impact through their careers.

Funding Plan: What the Snowdon Master’s Scholarship Covers?

The Snowdon Master’s Scholarship is valued at up to £30,000, offering comprehensive financial support throughout the duration of a master’s degree in the UK. The successful applicants can receive:

  • Up to £15,000 toward university tuition fees, paid directly to the host university
  • £15,000 in living support, paid to the scholar in termly instalments to help cover accommodation and day-to-day expenses

Beyond financial assistance, scholars gain access to the Disabled Leaders Network (DLN)—a peer-led community designed to foster collaboration, mentorship, and leadership development. The network provides a safe and progressive space where scholars can share experiences, amplify underrepresented voices, and strengthen their capacity to influence change.

For the 2026 cycle, the program also introduces targeted DFN Snowdon Master’s Scholarships for candidates pursuing leadership careers in business, government, or policy, particularly those committed to closing the Disability Employment Gap. Selected scholars under this stream will participate in a week-long summer leadership school hosted by the University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education Centre, adding a highly distinctive leadership development component to the award.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The Snowdon Master’s Scholarship is intended for disabled students who demonstrate both academic ambition and leadership potential. Applicants should align strongly with the scholarship’s mission of advancing inclusion and representation. You are encouraged to apply if you:

  • Identify as a disabled individual who has experienced disabling barriers
  • Plan to pursue a master’s degree in the UK
  • Aspire to become a leader, pioneer, or role model in your profession, community, or public life
  • Intend to use your lived experience to challenge inequality, shift public narratives, and drive progress in a specific field
  • Show a clear commitment to disability inclusion, advocacy, or systemic change.

The selection process prioritizes motivation, leadership intent, and future impact rather than academic achievement alone, making this scholarship particularly suitable for applicants with strong vision and purpose.
