What the Principal’s Global Excellence Scholarship Offers?
The Principal’s Excellence Scholarship – Global provides a tuition fee reduction of up to £7,000 per academic year, applied directly to a student’s fee account. The award can be held for up to a maximum of four years, depending on the length of the chosen degree programme.
The funding features include:
- Annual tuition fee deduction of up to £7,000
- Available for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes
- Renewable each year of study, for up to four years
- Applicable to students studying full-time and on campus at Abertay University in Dundee
- Available to students entering Year 1 or via advanced entry into Year 2 or above, provided eligibility conditions are met.
Importantly, this scholarship may be combined with the Abertay International Scholarship. In such cases, the total combined annual value remains £7,000, made up of £3,000 from the Abertay International Scholarship and £4,000 from the Principal’s Excellence Scholarship.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered for the Principal’s Global Excellence Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
Applicants must be classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University. They must also hold an offer of admission to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree on campus at Abertay University for the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic year.
In addition, applicants must have met all academic conditions attached to their offer of admission and be enrolling as a new full-time student at the University. The scholarship remains valid for each year of the degree programme, up to a maximum of four years, provided the student continues to study in Dundee.
Students admitted through advanced entry routes into Year 2 or above of an undergraduate programme are also eligible, as long as all other criteria are satisfied.
The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of Abertay University, based on an applicant’s academic performance, extra-curricular achievements, and potential contribution to student life and the wider university community.
