- Are a non-Hungarian citizen from a Stipendium Hungaricum partner country
- Are applying for bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or non-degree studies

- Are not a former Stipendium Hungaricum award holder applying again at the same study level
Hungarian citizens, including dual nationals, are not eligible under this scheme.
Application Route Explained: How to Submit Your Application?
Applicants must apply online through the Tempus Public Foundation’s application system according to this notice https://international.pte.hu/stipendium-hungaricum-scholarship-program, selecting the University of Pécs as their preferred institution. During the application, candidates choose their study level, program, and English as the language of instruction. A maximum of two study programs can be selected, ranked by priority.
In addition to the online submission, applicants must also secure nomination from the responsible authority in their home country, which is a mandatory part of the process. Nominated applications are then academically evaluated by the University of Pécs before final scholarship decisions are issued.
