Tuition fees for the full duration of the master’s degree will be covered through the University of Edinburgh’s Education Beyond Borders initiative. Scholars will also receive a living stipend of £20,780 to cover accommodation, food, bills, travel within the UK, and personal expenses during their studies.
In addition to tuition and living support, the scholarship fully covers travel-related costs including visa application fees, UK NHS health surcharge, economy-class flights to Edinburgh, and other necessary travel arrangements. Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
This scholarship is designed for talented and motivated students from refugee or forcibly displaced backgrounds who are ready to pursue advanced STEM education in the UK.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Apply for an eligible full-time, on-campus STEM master’s program at the University of Edinburgh’s College of Science and Engineering
- Meet academic entry requirements for the chosen postgraduate degree
- Apply for the master’s program before submitting the scholarship application
- Hold an undergraduate degree required for admission to the chosen program
- Not hold a PhD degree
- Not already hold a UK postgraduate master’s degree
- Demonstrate English language proficiency required by the selected program (free test offered to successful candidates if needed)
Priority will be given to applicants who do not already hold a master’s degree and those who have not studied at a UK university previously.
