The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology Opens PCMA Scholarships 2027 in Egypt
For students and researchers fascinated by ancient Egypt, this newly opened scholarship call may be one of the most specialized international research opportunities available in Europe this year. The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology (PCMA) at the University of Warsaw has officially launched recruitment for its PCMA Scholarship Programme 2026/2027, offering funded research placements and archaeological fieldwork opportunities in Egypt.
Supported by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the programme is designed to help emerging scholars deepen their expertise in Egyptian archaeology, history, religion, and cultural studies while gaining direct exposure to ongoing archaeological missions in Egypt. Successful candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of 3,000 PLN and the opportunity to conduct research at the PCMA Research Centre in Cairo or participate in archaeological expeditions across Egypt.
