ISU Bocconi Scholarship 2027–28: How to Submit Your Application? – Full Guide

Your passport alone will not tell you which Italy’s ISU Bocconi Scholarship deadline to follow. For 2027–28, Bocconi uses your previous school or university to place you in an admission category. It uses your family’s financial circumstances to determine which economic certificate you need. Getting either route wrong can put an otherwise eligible application at risk.

The first international Bachelor’s and Law scholarship window runs from 12 to 30 November 2026. Before reaching that form, applicants must secure admission, complete enrollment and submit Bocconi4Access to Education. International Master’s applicants follow a different funding sequence.

Which applicant route is yours?

Check your education history before choosing a scholarship deadline. For Bachelor’s and Law admission, Bocconi generally treats someone who attended secondary school abroad, or an international school in Italy, as an international applicant. Someone who attended an Italian-system secondary school in Italy follows the Italian applicant route. Citizenship by itself does not settle that classification.

For Master’s admission, a student coming from a university outside Italy generally follows the international rounds. A student at another Italian university follows Bocconi’s Italian applicant route, even if they hold a foreign passport. Graduates of Bocconi have their own category. Check the official undergraduate category rules or Master’s admission rules if your studies crossed countries or institutions.

First-year students must also satisfy ISU’s academic-history test. Previous enrollment in a degree at the same level, even if unfinished, may prevent a new first-year ISU application. Applicants who already hold a degree at the same or a higher level, repeat a course year or enter the World Bachelor in Business program should read Bocconi’s exclusion rules before planning around this award.

What does the scholarship pay?

ISU can provide a cash stipend, but qualifying financially does not guarantee a cash award. Bocconi ranks eligible students, and the number paid depends on available funds. Eligible students may also receive the applicable daily-meal benefit; other supplements and services have their own conditions.

The official amount page still uses 2026–27 figures. Its €1,124–€7,229 cash range and €829 meal amount are not confirmed 2027–28 awards. A higher “non-resident” stipend category is not granted simply because you arrive from another country: Bocconi requires evidence of qualifying paid accommodation near the university.

Tuition is assessed through a separate route. First-year Bachelor’s and Law students must submit Bocconi4Access to Education before applying for ISU. Bocconi and Italian-category first-year Master’s applicants have the same stated prerequisite. International-category Master’s applicants have their own ISU application rounds. Bocconi4Access may award tuition support, including full waivers for eligible first-year international Bachelor’s/Law students, but an ISU application does not itself promise a full tuition waiver or full living costs.

Which financial certificate do you need?

Use your family’s financial situation to identify the document, rather than assuming every international applicant submits the same one. Families residing and earning in Italy generally need a 2027 university-study ISEE and its DSU. Applicants whose family lives and earns outside Italy generally need a 2027 ISEEU Parificato issued by the CAF partnered with Bocconi. The economic-requirements page explains the applicable route.

For the CAF request, prepare official records of household members, 2025 income and assets held at 31 December 2025, together with the enrollment evidence and any business or family-status documents relevant to you. Documents from abroad may require certified Italian translations and legalization or an apostille. Bocconi’s CAF instructions give the full list. The CAF says it will not process a request received by the deadline with an incomplete or improperly prepared file.

Both income and asset limits apply. Bocconi currently shows 2026–27 reference ceilings of €26,887.93 for ISEE/ISEEU and €58,452.06 for ISPE/ISPEU. The 2027–28 limits are expected after Lombardy’s decision in June–July 2027. Earlier scholarship application deadlines remain in place while those new figures are pending.

What are the deadlines to Apply for Scholarships at Bocconi?

If you need an ISEEU Parificato, note two dates: when your complete file must reach the CAF and when you must submit the ISU form. CAF deadlines below are at 12:00 noon Italian time.

• International Bachelor’s/Law, early: CAF request by 26 November 2026; ISU application 12–30 November 2026. Upload the CAF acceptance email with the application and the issued 2027 certificate by 11 January 2027.
• Bachelor’s/Law, winter: CAF request by 19 March 2027 where applicable; ISU application 15 March–5 April 2027.
• International Master’s, round 1: CAF by 15 January 2027; ISU application 28 January–8 February 2027.
• International Master’s, round 2: CAF by 8 March 2027; ISU application 4–18 March 2027.
• International Master’s, round 3: CAF by 16 April 2027; ISU application 13–27 April 2027.
• International Master’s, round 4: CAF by 7 June 2027; ISU application 10–18 June 2027.

Italian-category Bachelor’s/Law applicants, Bocconi and Italian-category Master’s applicants, PhD students and returning students have other windows on the official deadline page. PhD and returning-student ISU applications are scheduled for 25 May–25 June 2027.

The last date to apply for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship in the first international Bachelor’s/Law early session is 30 November 2026. That route’s complete CAF request must arrive by noon Italian time on 26 November 2026.

How do you apply?

1. Apply for admission in your correct category. Bocconi’s early Bachelor’s/Law admission deadline is 29 September 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Italian time; applicants need an accepted selection-test result before submitting. The winter admission deadline is 26 January 2027. International Master’s admission has four separate rounds beginning in October 2026.
2. Complete enrollment if admitted. First-year funding applications follow admission and enrollment; an admission application alone is not an ISU application.
3. Submit Bocconi4Access first if your route requires it. This applies to first-year Bachelor’s/Law applicants and the stated Bocconi and Italian Master’s categories. Then submit the separate ISU application within your round’s window.
4. Prepare and submit financial evidence. Request the correct ISEE or partner-CAF ISEEU certificate. Follow Bocconi’s special CAF-email procedure if you are in the November 2026 international undergraduate round.
5. Finish the ISU form. Upload the requested evidence, select “Complete data” and “Submit application,” and check MyApplication notifications for any document query. A saved but unsubmitted form does not meet the deadline.

Is IELTS required at Bocconi?

IELTS is one accepted way to meet degree-enrollment requirements; the ISU scholarship has no separate IELTS score. For English-taught undergraduate programs, Bocconi lists IELTS Academic or IELTS Online at 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each section, alongside other accepted qualifications. Most Master’s programs require B2 English at enrollment, while specified programs require C1. Check the undergraduate English options or Master’s language rules for your course.

When will you receive a decision and payment?

Do not budget as though the cash stipend arrives when classes begin. Bocconi expects a provisional ISU ranking around mid-October 2027. Its current pages disagree on whether the final ranking follows by late October or mid-November, so monitor MyApplication for the confirmed date.

For a first-year student awarded the cash stipend, Bocconi expects the first half around the end of December 2027 and the second half no earlier than October 2028. Keeping the benefit requires at least 44 credits by 10 August 2028 for Bachelor’s/Law students or 39 credits for Master’s students. Missing the requirement may lead to revocation and repayment. Students must apply again for ISU assistance in later academic years.
