he Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS/UNESCO), is inviting applications for the prestigious ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship 2025.
This UNESCO PhD scholarship program offers an exceptional opportunity for up to 40 students from developing countries to pursue a PhD in China for up to four years, fostering a new generation of scientific leaders who will contribute to their home countries’ development and global scientific progress.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Not hold Chinese citizenship
- Be nationals of eligible developing countries
- Demonstrate proficiency in English or Chinese
- Meet USTC/UCAS admission criteria for international students
- Not hold other concurrent assignments or be currently enrolled in a PhD program in China
- Not apply to both USTC and UCAS simultaneously
