ANZSOG offers two types of short-term fellowships across Semester 1 and Semester 2 of 2026:

  • Resident Academic Fellowships – Available exclusively to scholars from ANZSOG’s Partner Universities.
  • Visiting Academic Fellowships – Open to academics from other Australian, New Zealand, and international universities.

This initiative forms part of ANZSOG’s bold 2030 Strategy, which emphasizes innovation in governance, deepening academic networks, and reinforcing its unique position at the intersection of research and public service delivery.

  • Resident Fellows receive funding under a ‘buyout’ model, reducing their normal teaching load so they can engage with ANZSOG part-time on a secondment basis.

  • Visiting Fellows, including international applicants, can apply for a 1–3 month visit, supported by ANZSOG with travel and accommodation contributions. They also receive workspace and access to ANZSOG’s rich academic and practitioner network.

This is a fantastic chance to immerse yourself in a vibrant intellectual environment while contributing to cutting-edge research that directly informs government policy and practice across Australia and New Zealand.
