A new undergraduate funding opportunity has opened its doors for the 2026 academic cohort in the United States, as the Beaty Martinez Foundation announces its annual scholarship program aimed at shaping future leaders in Arizona. This is a merit- and need-based undergraduate scholarship designed for high-school seniors who plan to continue their higher education at colleges and universities within the state of Arizona.
Why Apply for this Scholarship?
The Beaty Martinez Foundation Scholarship is a financial support program created to uplift underprivileged students and help them access quality higher education in Arizona. The foundation’s mission goes beyond funding—it focuses on guiding and empowering the next generation of leaders who will contribute positively to their communities and the state.
Scholarship Value and Financial Support
Successful applicants may receive up to USD 10,000, with the final amount depending on the institution chosen, available funding, and the number of qualified applicants in a given year. The scholarship funds are split evenly between the Fall and Spring semesters to ensure sustained academic support.
Funds are not paid directly to students. Instead, the Fall portion is disbursed in August 2026 directly to the student’s enrolled college or university after confirmation of enrollment, including the student ID number and financial aid office details. The Spring semester disbursement is processed automatically, provided the student remains enrolled full-time with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be graduating high-school seniors planning to begin undergraduate studies in Arizona for the 2026 academic year. To be considered, students must meet the following basic requirements:
Applicants must be residents of Arizona for tuition purposes and must have secured admission to an in-state Arizona university or community college by the time the scholarship is awarded. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) is required. Students must commit to full-time enrollment, defined as at least 12 credit hours per semester.
This opportunity may also be relevant to international students who qualify as Arizona residents for tuition purposes and meet all academic and enrollment criteria.
