Belarus E-Visa Announced for Citizens of 67 Countries from March 20, 2025

In a groundbreaking move to enhance accessibility and streamline travel, Belarus is officially launching its E-Visa system on March 20, 2025. This initiative allows foreign travelers from 67 countries, including the United States, Canada, the European Union nations, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and others, to apply for a single-entry electronic visa without visiting an embassy or consulate.

This development stems from Government Decree No. 953, signed on December 16, 2024, amending Belarus’ visa regulations. The E-Visa program aims to simplify the travel process for business professionals, tourists, students, and participants in sporting, cultural, and educational events.

New Features of Belarus’ E-Visa

  • Single-entry, individual visas available exclusively for ordinary passport holders
  • Maximum validity of 30 days
  • No embassy visit required – Applications are processed entirely online
  • Issued automatically without visa support documents
  • Available for various purposes, including business, tourism, cultural exchanges, and education
  • Application processing time: 7 calendar days
  • Accepted at all international entry points, including Minsk National Airport, regional airports, and major road and rail checkpoints.

How to Apply for the Belarus E-Visa Starting March 20, 2025?

  1. Create a personal account on the official E-Visa portal E-Pasluga (also available via a mobile app)
  2. Fill out the online application and select service code 3.04.01 under E-visa issuance
  3. Pay the visa fee online (Visa International and Mastercard Worldwide accepted)
  4. Wait for processing – The application will be reviewed within seven calendar days
  5. Receive the approved E-Visa electronically and carry a digital or printed copy when entering Belarus

Belarus E-Visa Issuance Fees and Charges

  • €35 for citizens of EU countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, etc.)
  • €60 for citizens of other eligible states
  • Free for Japanese citizens
  • Free for children under 12 years (EU citizens) and under 14 years (other eligible countries)
  • Additional service fee: €6.00.
