Berlin School of Economics Research Associate Program 2025

The Berlin School of Economics (BSoE) is inviting applications for its 2025 Research Associates Program (RAP), a prestigious opportunity for junior researchers to advance their academic careers. This program is supported by eight leading institutions: Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, University of Potsdam, European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), WZB Berlin Social Science Center, European School of Management and Technology Berlin, and the Hertie School.

Positions and Fields of Research:

The program offers several Research Associate positions for a period of 3 to 6 years, aligned with German WissZeitVG – E 13 TV-L or E 14 TVöD. These roles are open to exceptional researchers in applied microeconomics, political economy, behavioral economics, labor economics, health economics, and more.

Key Responsibilities: Successful candidates will contribute to research and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while also pursuing their own innovative research projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a PhD in economics or a related field by the start date of the position and demonstrate excellent academic credentials and research expertise.

Candidates must arrange for at least two academic letters of recommendation, to be submitted separately by referees upon request.
