Fellowship Overview
Three exceptional early-career researchers will be selected to join the University of Bradford for a 12-month fully funded fellowship. Fellows will work under the guidance of world-class experts in one of four priority research areas within the Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies, which is renowned for its innovative and impact-driven research.

Who is Eligible?
This opportunity is specifically for those who:
- Hold a degree in science, engineering, or computing
- Have recently completed or are near completion of their PhD
- Are classified as Early Career Researchers (ECRs)
- Are not currently funded by another UK program
- Are committed to using the fellowship’s knowledge to contribute to Malaysia’s socio-economic development
- Meet UK visa and English language eligibility.
Application Submission to Selection Timeline
The tentative timeline for the British Council ISPF Early Career Fellowship at the University of Bradford is as follows: All applications must be submitted by 15 August 2025; any applications received after this date will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews by 31 October 2025, with interviews taking place and offers extended by 30 November 2025.
Successful fellows are expected to arrive in the UK by January or February 2026, with fellowship projects officially commencing between February and March 2026. The fellowship will conclude one year later, between February and March 2027.
