This prestigious fellowship, launched by the Brazilian research funding organisation CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) in collaboration with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, is designed to support researchers in their academic pursuits abroad.

What the Fellowship Offers?

The CAPES-Humboldt Research Fellowship supports researchers at various stages of their careers, providing:

  • Monthly Stipend: Postdoctoral researchers receive €2,600, while experienced researchers receive €3,100.
  • Duration: Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers last from 6 to 24 months, while those for experienced researchers last from 6 to 18 months and can be divided into up to three stays within three years.

Eligibility Criteria

Postdoctoral Researchers:

Experienced Researchers:

• • Completed a doctorate within the last twelve years.
  • Extensive list of publications in peer-reviewed academic journals.
