Fully-funded Scholarships 2026-2027 (International Students)

CAS-ANSO China Fully-Funded Scholarship 2026-2027 for International Students

The CAS-ANSO Scholarship (Degree Program) 2026-2027 has officially opened its call for global applications starting October 15, 2025, inviting the world’s brightest young minds to study in China under one of the most prestigious international science collaborations.
Launched by the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO) — a global non-profit founded in 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and 36 other international institutions — this scholarship aims to empower emerging scientists, enhance global research capacity, and strengthen scientific cooperation along the Belt and Road Regions.

Originally introduced in 2019 as the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, the CAS-ANSO Scholarship funds 100–200 Master’s students and 300 PhD candidates annually to pursue postgraduate education at top Chinese institutions:

  • University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)
  • University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS)
  • CAS Institutes across China

A special stream, the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship, selects up to 40 doctoral students annually from developing countries, prioritizing climate-related research, Least Developed Countries (LDCs), and women researchers.

ANSO 2026 Scholarships is Fully Funded!

The CAS-ANSO fully funded Scholarship offers academic support covering:

  3. Health insurance coverage.
  4. Accommodation subsidy or on-campus housing.
  5. International travel subsidy (for eligible applicants).
  6. Fieldwork/research travel reimbursement according to CAS/TWAS/UNESCO policies.
