Program Description
CERN’s Short Term Internship is designed for undergraduate students enrolled in technical or administrative degree programs who wish to gain hands-on training at the world’s largest particle physics laboratory. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a full-time student pursuing a diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in:
- Technical fields (e.g., applied physics, engineering, computing, mathematics, instrumentation)
- Administrative fields (e.g., HR, legal services, secretarial work, finance, translation, logistics)
- Remain enrolled as a full-time student for the entire internship period
- Be 18 years or older
- Have good proficiency in English and/or French
- PhD candidates are not eligible
- Have valid insurance coverage for Switzerland and France during the internship (for health, accident, and disability).
