What is the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship?

The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a unique, tailored program that helps to cultivate leadership potential, acumen, and skills for professionals in the cultural sector. Through a series of hands-on learning opportunities, including residential courses, workshops, mentorship, and a secondment in a UK-based cultural organization, fellows are equipped to lead and innovate in their respective fields.

With over 20 years of experience, the fellowship has supported leaders in areas such as visual and performing arts, museums, libraries, archives, heritage, film and digital media, and cultural policy and practice.

Fellowship Duration

The fellowship runs from September 2025 to May 2026. The program framework is flexible and self-guided, encouraging fellows to be proactive in shaping their learning journey. The fellowship is designed for individuals at a pivotal point in their careers, offering an intensive and personalized development experience.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Intend to return to their home country upon completion of the fellowship.
  • Hold a degree equivalent to a UK second-class honors degree or have equivalent professional training/experience.
  • Have completed at least five years of work experience by the end of 2024 in the cultural sector (visual and performing arts, museums, libraries, archives, heritage, film, digital media, etc.).
  • Have a good working knowledge of English (assessed during the application process).
  • Not hold British or dual British citizenship.
