Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this fellowship, candidates must:

  • Be a citizen and current resident of one of the following: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, or Serbia.
  • Commit to returning to their home country after the fellowship.
  • Hold a postgraduate-level qualification or equivalent professional training/experience in a relevant field.
  • Possess at least five years of relevant professional work experience in cyber security or cyber policy.
  • Demonstrate significant expertise as a policy formulator, commentator, or academic.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of English.
  • Not hold British or dual British citizenship.
  • Not be employed by or recently affiliated (within the last two years) with the UK Government, British Council, or a sponsoring university.
  • Not have received a UK Government-funded scholarship (including Chevening) within the last five years.
