Scholar Benefits
Selected scholars receive a comprehensive support package, including:

Eligibility Requirements

Priority consideration is given to applicants who have not previously attended Columbia University. This full-time, residential program requires participants to fully immerse themselves in the experience at Columbia and cannot be undertaken alongside a degree program.
Application Requirements
A complete application consists of:

- Resume/CV: Include a chronological record of your professional and academic background, significant activities, awards, publications, and other accomplishments.
- Personal Video Statement: Introduce yourself and your work to the selection committee through a brief video (no more than three minutes). You’ll provide a video link hosted on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.
- Short Essay Responses: Address the program’s questions to articulate your work, motivation, and career alignment with the program’s goals.
- Proof of English Proficiency: Non-native English speakers must provide scores from accepted English proficiency exams (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or Duolingo English Test) or demonstrate eligibility for a waiver based on educational history.
- Two Letters of Recommendation: Recommendations must come from individuals who know you in an academic, professional, or community service context and can speak to your suitability for the program.
