Fellowship Duration

Placements last 6 weeks to 3 months, typically beginning in February 2026.

Host Organizations

You’ll be matched with a UK-based host organization in sectors such as health, governance, education, environment, entrepreneurship, technology, and more.


Funding Benefits Package

  • Monthly stipend: £2,104 (outside London) or £2,612 (in London).
  • Return airfare to the UK.
  • Visa fee reimbursement.
  • Arrival allowance: £1,100–£1,183.
  • Funding for approved travel within the UK during your fellowship.
  • Additional financial support for fellows with disabilities.
  • Up to £2,000–£3,000 provided to host organizations for specialized training or conferences relevant to your work.

Eligibility Criteria

You must:

  • Be a citizen, British Protected Person, or recognized refugee from an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
  • Be currently employed and plan to return to your organization after the fellowship.
  • Provide two references (including one from your current employer).
  • Align your work with one of six CSC development themes:
    1. Science and technology for development
    2. Strengthening health systems and capacity
    3. Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship
    4. Strengthening global peace, security, and governance
    5. Strengthening resilience and response to crises
    6. Access, inclusion, and opportunity.
