CUFE China Government Scholarships 2026 High Level Postgrad Program

The Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) has officially opened applications for the CUFE-Chinese Government Scholarship 2026-2027 High Level Graduate Programs, a fully funded opportunity sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China. Designed for outstanding international students seeking to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in China, this program offers comprehensive financial support, academic excellence, and the chance to study in Beijing, one of the world’s leading global cities.

Programs Offered in 2026 Under CUFE-CSC Scholarship 2026

Applicants may choose between Master’s (2–3 years) and PhD (4 years) programs taught in English or Chinese.

Master’s Programs (English-taught):

  1. Labor Economics (China Center for Human Capital and Labor Market Research)
  2. Public Finance, Regional Economics (China Academy of Public Finance and Policy)
  3. Investment, International Law, and International Business
  4. Finance (Chinese Academy of Finance and Development).

Master’s Programs (Chinese-taught): Finance, Law, Engineering & Project Management, and Digital Economy

PhD Programs (English-taught): Public Finance and Regional Economics (China’s Economy).


Qualification Criteria

Dreaming of studying in Beijing under a fully funded scholarship? Here’s what it takes to qualify for the 2026 CSC High Level Graduate Program at CUFE — one of China’s most prestigious finance and economics universities.

To begin with, applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in excellent physical and mental health, ready to take on the challenges of an intensive academic journey.

For Master’s programs, you’ll need to hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old at the time of application. And for PhD programs, candidates must possess a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old. In addition, all applicants must comply with the academic and regulatory standards outlined in Document No. 12 (2020) issued by China’s Ministry of Education — a mandatory requirement for all international students.

Language proficiency is key:

  • For Chinese-taught programs, an HSK Level 5 score of 210 or above is required.
  • For English-taught programs, you must provide a valid IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or equivalent English proficiency certificate.

How to Apply for CUFE-CSC Scholarship 2026-2027?

Step 1: Complete CSC online application via http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn, select CSC scholarship Type B and then add Agency Number of CUFE as 10034 to fill in your details to submit CSC scholarship application and download its pdf copy.

Step 2: Now complete CUFE online application through https://cufe.17gz.org/ and submit your CSC scholarship form in this portal.

Evaluation & Admission

Applicants passing the document review will be invited for online interviews. CUFE will select the best candidates based on performance and forward their profiles to the China Scholarship Council for final approval. Admission is confirmed after CSC’s expert review.

All selected students must register at CUFE in early September 2026, following health insurance purchase and document verification

Step 3: Participate in document review and online interview.
Step 4: Finally, await final CSC results in June/July 2026.
