The Government of the Czech Republic offers an exceptional scholarship program for international students from developing countries. Benefits of the Scholarship

  1. Financial Support: The scholarship covers the necessary costs related to staying and studying in the Czech Republic.
    • Monthly Stipend: CZK 16,000 for Master’s students and CZK 17,000 for Doctoral students.
  2. Tuition Fees: The scholarship covers the tuition fees for the standard length of study.
  3. Accommodation and Food: Costs for accommodation and food are covered under the scholarship.
  4. Health Services: Standard health services are provided under the same conditions as Czech students.
  5. Travel Expenses: While travel expenses to and from the Czech Republic are not covered, the scholarship aims to alleviate most other financial burdens.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries:

  • Ethiopia
  • Georgia
  • Moldova
  • Ukraine

  • Belarus (democratic forces)

Additionally, the scholarships are aimed at:

  • Graduates of Bachelor’s degree programs applying for Czech-medium Follow-up Master study programs.
  • Graduates of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs applying for English-medium Follow-up Master or Doctoral study programs.

Application Process

  1. Electronic Application: Applicants must fill out the electronic application form available at http://registr.dzs.cz/registr.nsf.
  2. General Knowledge and English Language Test: Applicants must take these tests as part of the application process.
  3. Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an interview at the relevant Czech Embassy.
  4. Submission of Documents: Successful candidates must submit complete documentation, including:
    • A filled and signed application form.
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
    • Photocopy of passport.
    • Declaration forms accepting terms and conditions of the scholarship and health services.
    • Legalised copies of educational documents with certified translations into Czech.
    • Medical confirmation about the applicant’s health.
    • Motivation letter and additional information about the previous education and content of study programs.
