Previously known as the Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellowships, the DUPRF is one of Australia’s most prestigious postdoctoral opportunities—designed to support and elevate emerging researchers who are ready to drive bold ideas and shape global knowledge frontiers.


What’s on Offer?

Each successful Fellow will receive:

  • Up to 3 years of salary support, ranging from Level A, Step 6 to the top of Level B
  • A one-off research support grant of AUD $15,000 to cover essential project costs

Who Can Apply?

The Fellowship is open to both Australian and international applicants who:

  • Hold a PhD awarded on or after 1 January 2022, or an equivalent award date adjusted for allowable career interruptions
