Distinguished Research Fellowships 2026 at TU Dresden

Launched in 2021, the program annually supports up to three internationally renowned scholars—professors, associate professors, and outstanding assistant professors—who are ready to make a lasting contribution to global research networks.

Sponsorship Package

Each Distinguished Research Fellow receives funding of up to €10,000 to carry out their proposed research project. The fellowship covers essential costs such as travel, accommodation, and other expenses tied to the stay in Dresden. Fellows are also expected to spend at least six weeks on-site, deliver a research talk, and contribute actively to the faculty’s academic community.

Eligibility Requirements

The fellowship is open to international scholars working outside Germany in the fields of business information systems, business administration, and economics. Applicants must be active researchers at the professor, associate professor, or assistant professor level and must not have engaged in research collaborations with TU Dresden’s Faculty of Business and Economics in the past five years.

Application Schedule

The application deadline for this Distinguished Research Fellowships 2026 at TU Dresden is December 15, 2025, with fellowship awards announced in spring 2026. Selection is carried out by an external committee of distinguished international scholars, with evaluations taking place in February–March 2026. The new class of Distinguished Fellows will begin their projects starting April 1, 2026.
