Donghua University China Link Scholarship 2025
Donghua University is now accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship Program 2025, offering a remarkable opportunity for international students and faculty to engage in academic and research activities in China.
This program, initiated by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), aims to deepen academic relationships and foster mutual understanding among young talent globally. It provides a platform for international exchange and collaboration, positioning Donghua University as a gateway for scholars seeking enriched learning and research experiences.
Comprehensive Funding Package
The China Link Scholarship covers full tuition, medical insurance, and on-campus accommodation costs, ensuring that recipients are financially supported throughout their stay in China. In addition, scholarship holders will receive a generous monthly stipend—CNY 3,000 for general scholars (current undergraduate or master’s students) and CNY 3,500 for senior scholars (current PhD students or faculty).
The program is flexible, allowing for a stay between 1 to 12 months, with studies beginning no later than August 31, 2025. Depending on the program offered by Donghua University, courses and research may be conducted in either English or Chinese, covering all disciplines except Chinese language studies.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good mental and physical health.
- Be enrolled as full-time students or employed as full-time academic staff at one of CSC’s partner universities at the time of application and during their stay in China.
- Age limits: under 45 for general scholars and under 50 for senior scholars.
Application and Scholarship Recommendation Process

After submission, Donghua University reviews the applications. Successful candidates receive a Pre-admission Letter, which allows them to proceed with submitting their scholarship application to the CSC. The CSC makes the final decision on scholarship awards, and results are communicated through Donghua University.
Required Application Documents Applicants must submit the following essential documents:
- Passport (and visa) Page: A clear copy of a valid passport with a minimum of six months’ validity. All visa pages are required if applicable.
- Certificate of Highest Education: An enrollment or employment letter from the current university with an official seal or signature.
- Transcripts of Highest Education: Transcripts of all grades/semesters, ideally accompanied by a grading scale description.
- Study Plan/Research Proposal: A personal statement of at least 500 words for general scholars or a research proposal for senior scholars, in the language of instruction.
- Physical Examination Record: Required for stays over six months, including physician’s signature, hospital stamp, and sealed photograph.
- Non-criminal Record Report: Necessary for stays over six months, issued by a public authority and not older than six months prior to submission.
Application Deadline: The online application process for Donghua University must be completed with guidance from the International Student Office before one of three application deadline December 15, 2024.
