Eligibility Checks for Applicants

- Must be a citizen of an Asian country or region
- Must be enrolled as a Master’s or Doctoral student at a Japanese institution from April 2026 to March 2027
- Must be able to read and write Japanese, as all application documents and communication are conducted in Japanese
- Must not be receiving another scholarship worth 150,000 yen or more per month
- Must be able to attend the mandatory monthly meeting, held on the second Saturday of each month
- Must be available to attend the in-person interview, scheduled for 7 March 2026.
