EDISS Erasmus (EMJM) Scholarship 2026-2028 Batch has Officially Opened

The EDISS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) Scholarship has officially opened its main application round for the 2026–2027 academic cycle, offering one of Europe’s most prestigious fully funded master’s opportunities to talented students worldwide.

This article explains what the EDISS EMJM scholarship is, who it is for, what it offers, who is eligible, and the exact deadlines international students must meet to be considered for the 2026–2027 intake.

About the Opportunity

The EDISS programme is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master, a two-year, full-time postgraduate degree delivered by a consortium of European universities. As an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master, the programme includes mandatory mobility, meaning students study in multiple European countries and graduate with a jointly recognized degree.

The EMJM scholarship linked to EDISS is designed to attract outstanding international students by fully covering the financial burden of studying and living in Europe during the programme.

What the EDISS-EMJM Scholarship Offers?

Successful scholarship holders receive a comprehensive funding package covering the full duration of the programme.

The scholarship includes a full waiver of participation costs (tuition fees), a monthly living allowance of approximately €1,400 for up to 24 months, comprehensive health insurance coverage, and financial support intended to help with relocation and mobility across partner countries. Over the two-year study period, the total scholarship value amounts to around €51,600, making it one of the most competitive Erasmus Mundus funding packages available.

Eligibility Checks

Applicants must meet a set of academic and administrative conditions to be considered for the EDISS EMJM scholarship.

Candidates must be international applicants of any nationality and hold a relevant bachelor’s degree that meets the programme’s academic requirements. Applicants must be eligible for admission to a master’s degree in accordance with the consortium’s criteria and submit a complete application with all required documents within the scholarship application round.

Applicants who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship are not eligible to receive another EMJM award. Selection also follows Erasmus Mundus geographical balance rules, meaning scholarships are distributed across nationalities to ensure diversity.
