What’s This Lithuanian Traineeship About?
This is an 11-month full-time paid traineeship opportunity in EIGE’s Outreach and Engagement Unit – Communications Team. It’s perfect for graduates with backgrounds in communications, public relations, international studies, social policy, politics, or similar fields. This role provides real-life work experience in a European Union agency that is actively shaping gender equality policies across Europe.

Funding Package Announced for this Lithuanian Traineeship
Selected trainees for the EIGE Communications Traineeship in Vilnius will receive a generous monthly grant of €1,294.74, along with a travel allowance to help cover relocation costs. Participants will work from EIGE’s modern, fully equipped office in the heart of Vilnius, with the flexibility of a hybrid work setup.
Throughout the 11-month program, trainees will benefit from hands-on mentorship under experienced EU professionals and have the unique chance to actively contribute to impactful policy work focused on gender equality across Europe. While most costs are supported, trainees are expected to arrange their own health insurance, as it is not covered by the program.
Who Can Apply?
You’re eligible if:
- You have a university degree (Bachelor’s or higher)
- You’re a citizen of an EU Member State, an EFTA country, or an IPA qualifying country
- You haven’t done a traineeship in another EU institution before
- You are fluent in English and know at least one other EU language
- You’re comfortable using Windows-based computer systems.

Application Timeline
The application process for the EIGE Communications Traineeship is divided into two stages. The first stage, the online application, opens on 9 July 2025 and closes on 30 July 2025 at 13:30 (Europe/Vilnius time).

In the second stage, only shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide supporting documents, including proof of degree, nationality, health insurance, and a medical certificate of fitness for work, among others.
