Exeter Excellence Scholarships 2026 for International Students

The University of Exeter is calling all ambitious international students to apply for the Exeter Excellence Scholarships 2026/27, a golden opportunity to study at one of the UK’s top-ranked universities. Designed to recognize and reward academic brilliance, leadership potential, and global vision, this scholarship is your ticket to an extraordinary undergraduate experience in the heart of England.

Funding of Exeter Excellence Scholarship

These scholarships celebrate exceptional academic performance and aim to make higher education more accessible for talented students worldwide. Successful applicants will receive a tuition fee discount of £3,000 or £5,000 for their first year, which will continue at the same value for every subsequent year of their degree, excluding study abroad, placement, or repeat years. This ensures consistent financial support throughout your studies while you immerse yourself in Exeter’s world-class teaching and vibrant campus life.

Who can apply?

The scholarship is open to international students, including EU nationals paying international fees, who have already secured an offer of admission—either conditional or unconditional—to begin their undergraduate studies at the University of Exeter in September 2026. Applicants must be entering the first year of their degree program. However, students progressing from the University of Exeter International Study Centre (ISC) are not eligible.

Which Programmes Are Offered?

The Exeter Excellence Scholarship covers a wide range of undergraduate programs across three major faculties. In the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, eligible fields include Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Geography, Natural Sciences, Management, Physics, and Mathematics.

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences offers opportunities in Biosciences, Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, Sports Sciences, Health and Care Professions, and related areas. In the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, eligible programs include Law, English, History, Archaeology, International Relations, Sociology, Drama, Film, Languages, Philosophy, Theology, and many more.

Applicants will be selected based on academic merit and their ability to demonstrate clear academic and career ambitions, a compelling plan to make the most of their study opportunity at Exeter, and a sense of social responsibility and community engagement. The minimum academic requirement is AAB at GCE A-Level or equivalent.

Where to Apply?

Applications must be submitted through the University of Exeter Funding Database. As part of your application, you’ll be required to write a 300-word personal statement addressing three questions: What are your future ambitions, and how will studying at Exeter help you achieve them? What will you contribute to the campus community? And how would you represent the University as an ambassador? Only one application per program is allowed, and duplicate submissions will be disregarded.
