Fiji-JDS Scholarship 2025 Open for Applications

Are you a public servant in Fiji with aspirations of obtaining a Master’s degree? The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) is now open for applications for the 2025 academic year. Sponsored by the Government of Japan, this scholarship provides a golden opportunity for Fijian government workers to study in prestigious Japanese universities.

    • University: Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU)
    • Degree: Master of Arts in International Public Policy/Master of Science in International Cooperation Policy

3# International Relations

    • University: Doshisha University
    • Degree: Master of Arts in Global Studies

4# Climate Change Countermeasures/Environmental Policy

    • University: University of Tsukuba
    • Degree: Master of Science in Environmental Science.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Age: Between 22 and 45 as of April 1, 2025.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a full-time public servant.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English for academic purposes.
  • Commitment: Willingness to contribute to Fiji’s development post-graduation.

Application Dates

  • Application Deadline: December 10, 2024 (16:30)
  • Math Exam: Mid-December 2024 (for IUJ and Tsukuba applicants)
  • Selection Stages: January to March 2025
  • Pre-departure Orientation: July 2025
  • Enrollment in Japan: September/October 2025.
