German DIES Training Course for Female Students 2025 Entry

In an effort to bolster leadership capacity at universities across the Global South, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) have launched an exciting opportunity exclusively for female university vice presidents. The “DIES Training Course – Leadership Training for Female University Vice Presidents” is now accepting applications, with a submission deadline of September 30, 2024.

Program Overview

This specialized leadership training program is designed to equip newly appointed female vice presidents from universities in Spanish-speaking Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia with the skills necessary to drive institutional change. The training focuses on enhancing leadership capabilities, encouraging the exchange of experiences, and providing access to resources that can foster sustainable development within their institutions.

What Does the Program Offer?

The program offers a range of benefits aimed at strengthening the leadership skills of participants, including:

  • Conducting Events and Workshops: Participants will have the opportunity to engage in both domestic and international workshops that are designed to enhance their leadership abilities.
  • Digital Teaching and Learning Development: The program emphasizes the design, development, and implementation of innovative digital teaching and learning tools.

Who Is Eligible for DAAD DIES Program?

The program is open to female vice presidents and other senior management representatives from universities in the Global South. Eligible applicants must be from state or state-recognized German universities or from non-profit and self-researching non-university research institutions based in Germany.
