The GFPS-Polska Semester Scholarship is designed for students, doctoral candidates, and academic assistants from all fields of study in Poland who want to enrich their academic journey in Germany. With a strong focus on intercultural exchange and personal growth, this scholarship combines financial assistance with an exciting academic and cultural program.


University of Lodz Scholarship Offering Package

Winners of the GFPS Semester Scholarship will benefit from a well-rounded support system, ensuring they can focus on their studies and research without financial stress. The package includes:

  • €650 monthly stipend to cover living expenses.
  • Help in securing accommodation, whether in student dormitories or private housing.
  • Participation in two unique seminars:
    • CITY DAYS – a welcome and integration seminar at the beginning of the semester.
    • FORUM – a closing seminar where scholars present their projects and exchange ideas.

This package ensures that students don’t just study in Germany but also integrate into the academic and cultural life of the country.


Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following benchmarks to qualify for the Summer Semester 2026 intake:

  • German language proficiency at a minimum B1 level.
  • Active participation in academic, cultural, and social activities during the semester.
  • Completion of a research project on a chosen topic (it may relate to your thesis, academic field, or even personal interests).

A unique feature: the project topic does not need to directly align with your degree field – passion and motivation are what count!
