About the Scholarship

TCU is offering this scholarship to international students who are enrolling in a master’s course and plan to continue into a doctoral course in one of its elite graduate schools:

  • Graduate School of Integrative Science and Engineering
  • Graduate School of Environmental and Information Studies

The scholarship not only supports academic excellence but also promotes a nurturing international study environment by easing the financial burden.


What You’ll Receive?

  • Scholarship Value: ¥1,000,000 per year (after arriving in Japan)
  • Full Tuition Waiver: Exemption from entrance and tuition fees (note: application fee still required)
  • Accommodation Coverage: Initial and monthly rent paid for TCU-designated dormitory (you’ll only cover utility, cleaning, and potential repair costs)

This is a multi-year support system, lasting up to five years—covering your standard master’s and doctoral enrollment period.


Who’s Eligible?

The scholarship is looking for:

  • Students with 16 years of prior education
  • Those who graduated within two years of earning their bachelor’s degree
  • Academic top performers (top 10% in both academic performance and university ranking in their country)
  • Applicants with a university president’s recommendation letter
  • Individuals not receiving other scholarships
  • Students willing to enroll in both a master’s and a doctoral course at TCU.

How to Apply?

Start by submitting a Prior Consultation Form (Form B & D) to describe your intended field of study. TCU will help match you with a potential supervisor. Only with supervisor approval can you proceed with your scholarship application.
