HALRIC Research Internship Programme 2026 Open

This program opens doors to renowned research centers such as MAX IV, ESS, DESY, and European XFEL, alongside top universities and hospitals across the ÖKS-Hamburg Region. Location & Duration

The internships are hosted across Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and Norway at leading partner institutions:

  • Sweden: Lund University, Malmö University, MAX IV, ESS, Skåne University Hospital
  • Denmark: University of Copenhagen, Technical University of Denmark, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark, Rigshospitalet
  • Germany: University of Hamburg, DESY, European XFEL, EMBL, UKE
  • Norway: University of Oslo

Duration: 2–6 months
Start anytime until March 2026.


Eligibility Criteria

This programme is designed for ambitious Bachelor’s and Master’s students:

  • Must be enrolled at one of the HALRIC partner universities (Lund, Malmö, Copenhagen, DTU, Aarhus, SDU, Hamburg, Oslo).
  • Must apply for an internship in a different country from their current university.
  • Should be motivated to work in Life Science research involving advanced infrastructures.

  2. Prepare your cover letter, CV, certificate of enrolment, and academic reference contact.

  5. If it’s a mandatory internship for your degree, confirm recognition with your department.
