The Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship 2026 has officially opened applications for its new cohort, targeting emerging leaders from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East who are actively addressing gender inequality, mental health challenges, and social justice issues affecting women and girls.

Delivered in partnership with the Hauwa Ojeifo Global Impact Fund for Women & Girls and One Young World, this fully funded leadership scholarship aims to empower the next generation of advocates working on critical issues such as child marriage, gender-based violence, reproductive health rights, and mental health awareness. The programme is designed to equip passionate young leaders with global exposure, leadership development, and a powerful international network to accelerate real-world change.

A total of 16 fully funded scholarship awards will be offered to outstanding youth leaders worldwide for the 2026 cohort.

Who Can Apply for the Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship?

To qualify, you must:

  • Be aged between 18 and 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026

  • Be living and making impact in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East
  • Be willing to collaborate and engage with fellow scholars and global networks
  • Show commitment to driving long-term change in your community

Applicants slightly above 30 may also be considered if they can demonstrate exceptional impact and leadership engagement.
