Huddersfield Business School Scholarships 2025

Huddersfield Business School is delighted to announce the availability of six Open Scholarships for the academic year 2024/25. These scholarships are designed to support outstanding research candidates by providing comprehensive financial assistance and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the school’s research community.

Benefits

• Full Fee Waiver: Successful applicants will have their tuition fees waived for the standard registration period (up to three years for full-time and six years for part-time study).
• Annual Stipend: Full-time postgraduate research (PGR) candidates will receive an annual stipend of £3,500. Part-time PGR candidates will receive £1,750 annually. The stipend is contingent on satisfactory academic progress and full engagement with the research program.

Eligibility

• Open to both national and international applicants.
• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with distinction.
• Research proposals should align with one of Huddersfield Business School’s research themes or subject specialisms.

Complete the research degree application form on Huddersfield Business School’s website here (https://www.hud.ac.uk/postgraduate/research/research-scholarships/business-management/). Indicate clearly that you are applying for the HBS Open Scholarship.

Supporting Documents:

• • Cover Letter: Explain why you should be considered for the scholarship, how your research contributes to the school’s research themes, and the qualities you bring to the research community.
  • CV: Include your academic and professional background.
  • Research Proposal: This should contain:
    • Proposed title and relevant research areas
    • Introduction to the research topic
    • Review of previous work in the field
    • Aims and objectives
    • Methodology and proposed data
    • List of references

  • Two Academic References: Provide contact details of referees who can comment on your suitability for the scholarship.

Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with a panel of academic staff and successful candidates will be notified following this process.
