About the Fellowship
The program is designed to facilitate German collaboration, allowing participants to enhance their research or innovation projects in Germany. It supports young researchers by offering financial assistance and direct access to cutting-edge resources.
Financial Support Benefits
The program offers comprehensive funding, including:
- PIEF: €1500 per month.
- PDIF: €2500 per month.
- Travel and Visa Expenses: Up to €1000 for a single round-trip economy airfare, visa fees, and travel insurance.
- Health Insurance: Up to €100 per month.
Fellowship Levels and Eligibility:
1# PhD Industrial Exposure Fellowship (PIEF):

- Eligibility: Indian researchers enrolled in a PhD program in Science/Engineering for at least one year. Applicants must be under 28 years of age.
- Duration: Up to six months.
2# Post Doctoral Industrial Fellowship (PDIF):

- Eligibility: Recent PhD graduates (within two years) in Science/Engineering from Indian institutes/universities. Applicants must be under 35 years of age, including those with a career break or not holding permanent positions.
- Duration: Up to twelve months.
Application Requirements
Applicants must:
- Identify and secure a host industry/industrial research organization in Germany.
- Obtain consent letters from both the host industry in Germany.
