The Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), has officially announced the 2026 Innovation and Technology Scholarship — a life-changing opportunity for African graduates passionate about driving change through technology and innovation.
This prestigious program aims to train 160 young African professionals between 2025 and 2030, empowering them to pursue fully funded online master’s degrees from ASU while receiving in-person academic and career support through Kepler College in Rwanda.
A Gateway to Global Learning & Local Impact
For the 2026/2027 academic year, 40 scholarships are available, covering full tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses for two years. Beyond financial support, recipients will gain access to career mentorship, leadership development, and entrepreneurship training designed to prepare them as Africa’s next generation of innovators.
Eligible Graduate Programs
Scholars will enroll in one of the following ASU Online master’s programs:
- MS Global Technology and Development
- MSE Sustainable Engineering
- MS Information Technology
- MS Business Analytics
- MEd Learning Design and Technologies.

The scholarship is open to African citizens who demonstrate strong academic potential, leadership qualities, and a commitment to contributing to their communities.
