This new 2025 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship hosted by Chongqing University (CQU) is officially inviting applications from students around the world! Supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), this scholarship aims to nurture the next generation of outstanding Chinese language teachers, offering fully funded opportunities to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Non-degree study programs directly at one of China’s top universities.
What’s On Offer?
- Full Coverage: Tuition, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance (RMB 2,500–3,000) offered for the winners of international China language teachers scholarship at Chongqing university for the class of 2025.
- Degree Programs Available:
- Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education (3 years; 2 years funded, 3rd year self-funded)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (4 years)
- Non-Degree Programs:
- One-Year Chinese Language Study
- One-Semester Chinese Language and Literature Study.
Monthly Stipend:

Who Can Apply?

- In excellent physical and mental health.

Application Timeline
For applicants aiming to commence their studies in September 2025, the complete application, including submission through both the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website and Chongqing University’s online portal, must be finalized by May 11, 2025 (Beijing Time).
Meanwhile, for those intending to begin their programs in March 2026, the full application process must be completed no later than October 31, 2025 (Beijing Time).
