International Student Scholarship 2025 at Tianjin University

Tianjin University (TJU), one of China’s premier institutions, has announced its International Student Scholarship 2025, providing a remarkable opportunity for global students to pursue higher education in China. The Tianjin University International Student Scholarship offers a range of financial support for bachelor’s programs, categorized into four types:

  • Type A: Tuition subsidy (20,000 RMB) and a living allowance of 1,400 RMB/month for 10 months.
  • Type B: Tuition subsidy (20,000 RMB).
  • Type C: Tuition subsidy (10,000 RMB).
  • Type D: Tuition subsidy (6,000 RMB).

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this prestigious scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
  2. Hold a high school diploma and be under 25 years of age.
    • Applicants under 18 years of age (as of September 1, 2025) must provide a guardian certificate from the Tianjin District Notary Office.
  3. Demonstrate language proficiency:
    • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (180+) or Level 5 (180+) based on program requirements.
    • For English-taught programs: TOEFL (80+) or IELTS (6.0+). Native speakers of respective languages are exempted.
  4. Exhibit good conduct, physical and mental health, and willingness to comply with Chinese laws and Tianjin University regulations.

Application Process

Applicants must complete the online application process at TJU’s International Student Service System. Required documents include:

  • High school diploma and academic transcripts.
  • Language proficiency certificates (HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS).
  • Study plan (600 words minimum).
  • Physical examination form.
  • Financial guarantee certificate.
  • Non-criminal record certificate and other supporting documents.

The last date to apply for the Tianjin University International Student Scholarship is April 1, 2025. Admission results will be announced in early July 202
