For Japanese Students Studying Abroad (Outbound):

  • 200,000 yen monthly stipend
  • Funding duration: Up to 2 years starting from April 2026

Who Can Apply? Academic and Financial Criteria Explained

  • Be majoring in art history

Additional student category requirements:

For International Students (Inbound):

  • Must be self-financed
  • Applying from overseas for master’s or doctoral programs in Japan (including research students)
  • Must hold “Student” residence status while in Japan

For Japanese Students (Outbound):

  • Must plan to enroll as regular students in a master’s or doctoral program at a university overseas during the 2026 academic year
