About the MIRAI Program
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) invites groups of outstanding university students and young professionals from Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus to participate in fully funded short-term exchanges in Japan. Participants come from fields such as:
- Diplomacy and Security Policies
- Economics, Business, and Innovation
- Science and Technology
- Arts and Culture
- International Relations & Asian Studies
- Environmental Sciences & SDG-related Studies
- Japan Studies and other relevant areas
The program brings together passionate individuals expected to play active roles in international society, encouraging them to share ideas, exchange knowledge, and collaborate with Japanese students and scholars.
Objectives of the Program
