Jean Monnet Scholarship 2026 Accepting New Applications

The Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye has officially launched the application period for the 2026–2027 Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme (JMSP). Applications opened on 4 September 2025 and will remain open until 4 November 2025.

Strengthening EU Expertise in Türkiye

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme was established to support Türkiye’s EU accession process by increasing the number of experts specialized in the EU acquis. Through this initiative, scholars gain the opportunity to study in EU member states and deepen their expertise in fields directly related to EU legislation and policies.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, around 150 scholarships will be awarded. The programme continues to serve as a bridge between Türkiye and the European Union, enhancing knowledge transfer and professional skills in areas of common interest.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to individuals working or studying in Türkiye who are eager to specialize in EU-related studies. Eligible applicants include:

  • Employees in the public sector, including those in professional organizations, chambers, municipalities, development agencies, and public banks.
  • Professionals in the private sector, including NGOs and diplomatic missions.
  • Academic and administrative staff at universities in Türkiye.
  • Senior undergraduate students as well as master’s and PhD students enrolled in Turkish universities.

Applicants must demonstrate a clear academic or professional link to EU-related studies and fields aligned with the EU acquis.

Application Process

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications in a sealed envelope by registered mail, private courier, or hand-delivery to the Central Finance and Contracts Unit. All applications must be received no later than 4 November 2025.
