Jetset Award Scholarship 2026 at Queens University Belfast for International Students

Queen’s University Belfast has officially opened applications for the AHSS Jetset Award 2025–2026, a unique opportunity for students to gain international experience while enriching their academic journey. This award supports current students in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) who wish to take part in skill-building activities abroad during the academic year 2025–2026.

A Gateway to Global Learning

Designed to encourage international mobility, the Jetset Award empowers students to explore opportunities beyond Northern Ireland—whether that means attending a global seminar, completing a short research placement, or engaging in international fieldwork. The aim is simple yet powerful: to help students develop new perspectives, expand their employability, and connect their academic learning with real-world impact.

Recipients can receive £1,000 in funding, or £1,250 if they can provide evidence of receiving the maximum Student Finance allowance or are recognized as care-experienced students by the Widening Participation Unit. This added financial support ensures equitable access to international learning for all deserving candidates.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and postgraduate research students enrolled within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. This includes the following schools:

  • Arts, English and Languages
  • Law
  • History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics
  • Social Sciences, Education and Social Work

Students from Queen’s Business School are not eligible and are advised to contact their school for other funding options.

Why Students Shouldn’t Miss It?

The Jetset Award is more than financial support—it’s a career catalyst. In today’s globalized world, employers are actively seeking graduates who bring cultural awareness, adaptability, and experience working in diverse environments. By engaging in an international activity, awardees not only strengthen their academic portfolio but also acquire lifelong skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

Important Dates

The last date to apply for the AHSS Jetset Award 2025–2026 at Queen’s University Belfast is 31 August 2026. Applicants should note that the next review date is 1 November 2025, meaning applications submitted before this date will be considered in the upcoming round of evaluations.
